Antoín Ó Cianaín from Doire Núis (Derrynoose), Ard Mhacha and Diarmuid Breatnach performed “The Foggy Dew” on the 19th of March 2016.
“The Foggy Dew” is probably the best known of the 3 songs, it was written by Father Charles O’ Neill who was a native of Portglenone, Country Antrim. He was inspired by the aftermath of the Easter Rising and World War One.
